Llandudno and Snowdonia

Llandudno: Victorian seaside jewel of North Wales and a great destination for a hotel short-break or holiday near the beautiful mountains of Snowdonia

As Wales' largest and most attractive resort, Llandudno easily and comfortably confirms its status as the Queen of Welsh resorts. Nestled between two lovely beaches and guarded by two rugged limestone headlands, its coastal location could hardly be more beautiful or sublime.

The long, broad sweeping crescent of the promenade, overlooked by the Merrion Hotel, is a wonderful place to stretch your legs and enjoy the fresh sea air, or to sit on a bench and admire the scenery and old architecture. In summer there is great entertainment to be had on the sea-front, including the old classics such as brass bands and Punch & Judy shows.

Shopping

Though this is a Victorian town, these days there is a healthy mixture of old and modern attractions, shops and events. Mostyn Street, the town's main thoroughfare, is home to many of Britain's treasured high-street brands, along with numerous boutiques, tea-houses, and cafés.

Snowdonia

The mountainous and stunningly beautiful area to the south-west of Llandudno is the Snowdonia National Park. It's an area renowned for wonderful scenery and has been a top destination for artists for hundreds of years.

Betws-y-Coed is easily accessible by coach or train and offers a whole host of gift shops and outdoor equipment shops in the foothills of Snowdonia.
